This post was inspired by two Netflix series. Mr Robot where an insurgent group called FSociety revolts against money and debt. Squid Game in which people play a game to win money or die.
Thinking about it, the best way to revolt against money is to choose where we spend, a passive revolt. Choose not to buy from conglomerates but from people. Food from the green grocer at the corner. Clothes from the woman down the street who sews shirts. Everything from local people that you can have a relationship with.
That way we might also escape the inundation of advertising and more easily recognise our humanity. Let’s focus on life rather than money. We created it for exchange but money has become synonymous with power and inequality. Maybe without it civilization will more readily reflect goodwill. We should evolve beyond money, humans also care.
