Coma victims, it seems the brain’s neurological rewiring after coma is not certain. I suspect the brain often tries to use the old faulty pathway because of familiarity. Maybe for a time it oscillates between the old and new route as it tries to establish new pathway for that information. A suspicion given I’m not a doctor and after 8 years I still can’t walk like before.
Of course there is much for the brain to perceive while walking, balance and toes are important I think. A brains pathway needs to handle a lot of information and know how all these things inter-relate to enable good walking or running. An athletes brain naturally understands these relationships very well to be able to run so fast, good neurology.
